Casa Sarita is one of the best restaurants in Goa offering Goan cuisine. Located in the Village Square, the interior of Casa Sarita is inspired by a colonial house, crafted with black-and-white mosaic flooring and complemented by opulent chandeliers and ornate windows with mother-of-pearl shells. The restaurant is reminiscent of a bygone era, offering guests an experience that reflects the delicate blend of Indian and Portuguese culture and influence that is Goa. An interactive show kitchen decorated with an array of home-made pickles and spices brings the excitement of cooking from behind the scenes to your table.

 

From secret recipes to traditional dishes and signature masterpieces, Casa Sarita showcases the nostalgia of a mother’s delicious home-cooked meal. Some of the restaurant’s signature dishes include Chouris Pao (local spiced pork sausages served in Goan bread), Casa Sarita's Prawn Curry (prawns simmered in coconut and dried red chilli curry) and Goan Fish Curry (silver pomfret cooked slowly with fresh coconut and dried red chilli gravy).

 

Recently, Casa Sarita introduced a contemporary menu set against time-honoured Goan culinary traditions. Beautifully marrying authentic flavours with minimalistic presentations, the restaurant presents a modern interpretation of traditional dishes.

Chef Information

Edridge Vaz is the Sous Chef of the award-winning Casa Sarita. Growing up in Chorao, a small picturesque island in Goa, Chef Edridge was always fascinated with cooking and quickly learned the finer nuances of the art from his mother. He later decided to enhance his technical skill and enrolled himself at the IIAS School of Management, Goa. Chef Edridge is a strong advocate of Goan food, with an aim to put his beloved cuisine on the culinary world map.
